In August I headed up to Wales to shoot this incredible wedding of Laura & Darren.
I met Laura through the wedding network, as the owner of the rather yummy Green Kitchen Cakes based in Nottingham – she creates beautiful custom wedding cakes and after doing a behind the scenes cake shoot together a few years back I was so excited to be asked she asked me to be their wedding photographer.
Plus what wedding photographer could turn down a wedding in a Chateau hideden away on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey with breathtaking views overlooking Snowdonia? Not me!
Their intimate wedding was truly a beautiful combination of creative skills coming together, homegrown flowers brought with them all the way from Nottingham were made into beautiful bouquets and adorned the venue. Laura made her very own 5 tier wedding cake and cake topper and Darren hand crafted their very own light up ‘Cake’ sign. Plus countless of other handmade creative details throughout the day made this day truly special.
The Welsh weather was at its finest the day of Laura & Darren’s wedding – moody grey skies, strong winds and rain certainly made for an atmospheric day but this couple didn’t let that stop them! Crazy golf, walks in the rain, posing on the rocky beach for me – these guys were awesome to photograph.
