Emma & Rick’s wedding in Cheshire was bloomin’ lovely! We all had an early 7am start at the DoubleTree Hilton Chester, a fantastic venue – with some great original features, including the brick walls and beams.
The morning was full of laughter from Emma, her mum, sister and Dad too as they got ready for the big day, all of us keeping one eye on the weather for their outdoor ceremony – luckily aside from a small quick shower the weather was perfect for Emma to walk up the red carpeted aisle in her simple, elegant lace wedding dress to Rick on the front lawn.
To top off the happy tears Rick had sneakily organised a fantastic surprise for his bride, just after the ceremony a gorgeous cream VW camper van turned up to whisk the two of them off (and me!) for some photos. The pair first met at university in Cheshire, and after hitting it off realised they lived only two doors away from one another on the same street – so we headed back to their old houses for a few cheeky photos in-front of them and then on to the stunning apple and pear orchard at their old university campus. Such a lovely idea to incorporate their story into the wedding photos – so unique and we got some really gorgeous photos, with a bride as pretty as Emma, it was hard not to!
Their venue was beautifully decorated with maps and names of the places they’d cycled to – both sharing a love of cycling their cake reflected this BIG TIME – I’ve never seen a cake like it, the detail that went into it was incredible, right down to the dress and belt Emma wore.
Thanks to Emma and Rick and their whole wedding party for making me feel so welcome and part of the fun – I can safely say I’ve finished my wedding season off on a massive high!
