There’s something about a city wedding that gets me excited; the buzz, the textures, the quirky photo opportunities. Gabrielle & Eric’s wedding was no exception, with a coming together of families from many countries: Gabrielle from France and Eric from New Zealand. Along with a quirky red wedding dress and beautifully decorate head piece, they had their wedding in Rotherhithe, near the bank of the River Thames. The reception was held at The Brunel Museum Tunnel, a fantastic little museum with beautiful wild gardens on three split levels full of stunning colours and flowers.
Gabrielle & Eric asked me to stay for a half day as they were moving onto a restaurant after their garden drinks reception, with such brilliant weather this still gave me plenty of time for some fantastic and very natural bride and groom photos. We went for a walk around Rotherhithe, taking in the gorgeous old brick walls and brilliant colours. I think one of my favourite photos from their day is of the confetti throwing – I just love the emotion and pure happiness in the faces, just looking at how happy they are makes me smile!
