Gorgeous gypsy caravan: Wedding styled shoot

If you’ve already seen the ‘First Look’ from this styled wedding shoot, you’ll know its going to be a pretty special post today. This year I went on a fantastic course which involved a styled shoot, its a great way as a photographer to keep learning and pushing your boundaries. I try to go on one photography course a year just to keep the creative juices flowing and meet some fantatsic people.

I headed off to the shoot with Be.Photography workshops at East Riddleston Hall, where we got to experiment with two entirely different, yet equally sumptuous and gorgeous set ups. The first was in the old barn, a very dark and moody set up where we got to embrace our dark side, I can safely say this changed the way I think about the shadows in my photography. I can think of several photographs I love that I’ve taken since this shoot, that I wouldn’t have taken had it not been for this day.
The second styled shoot took us outside, where we were let lose with a bride and groom model (also married in real life) and a beautifully set up Gypsy caravan. This is where I really got to experiment with using unusual set ups and embracing the spontaneity of even a set-up shoot. I had an absolutely fantastic time on the shoot, I’ve been dying to edit and share these photos for ages now, so I’m so please I finally can. I’d like to say a massive thank you to all involved in setting up the styled shoot, you can see how much attention to detail went into making this look spectacular.
