I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding with a Red Routemaster London Bus and when Coral & James told me they were having one at their wedding, I squealed with excitement (a little too loudly). We kicked off a very hot day at the boutique hotel: Hart’s in Nottingham who saved Coral from a wedding nightmare when their original wedding venue was cancelled just weeks before the wedding – good rescue job guys!
After a beautiful and laughter filled ceremony, the party gladly gulped down cold drinks in the sunshine in the hidden garden at Harts before our grand retro red London bus transport arrived and we were whisked off to The Riverbank alongside the River Trent to watch the crazy rowers whizz past in the hot sunshine.
I’d been warned that both Coral & James were more than a little shy about having their photo taken – but oh my did they shine, Coral’s smile is just beautiful, looking every bit the star in her handmade wedding dress made especially for Coral by her Aunt – what a beautiful gift! The two of them powered on amazingly in the heat on the bus for some gorgeous natural and intimate photos of them both, full of smiles and fun gently head-butting each other and pulling faces. These two made me laugh so much!
Add in beautiful wild garden flowers by Mrs Umbels, a gorgeous naked cake, live band – The Burgundys and some yummy gourmet fish and chips (seriously good food!) an all wedding guests first dance and you’ve got yourself a very fun and VERY lovely summer wedding…
