I LOVE working with local small creative businesses and jumped at the chance to work with Momoka Gomi - an amazingly talented hand woven textile artist based in this wonderful city of Nottingham.

Lizzie works with people to empower them to live their most authentic life so I wanted to make sure Lizzie’s authentic self came out in our shoot, coupled with her amazing wardrobe (YES to banana dresses!) I think we absolutely nailed it and her photos work perfectly with her new website to give her a professional look but with a totally personable vibe.

Personal Branding photo shoot for Jodie Colls. Jodie is a female focused therapist - a qualified hypnotherapy and psychotherapy practitioner and all round amazing woman to be in the presence of - making me feel even luckier that I get to meet and spend time getting to know such amazing clients.

I first worked with Jenna over a year ago, our shoot was my very first after maternity leave.

Fast forward over a year, I now have a fully fledged toddler and Jenna’s PT business has evolved to launch The Average Woman Academy - offering in person and online solutions to create a community of likeminded normal women.

The lovely Jenna runs Average Woman PT, a women’s only personal training in Nottingham, - including an amazing outdoor silent disco bootcamp in West Bridgford.

Heal Her Retreats is the fantastic mother-daughter duo from Nottingham, Pamela & Nicole. They run empowering and life-changing retreats that help women rediscover calm and reconnect with their inner self. Their retreats use a powerful combination of yoga, meditation, stress management tools, optimal nutrition and other healing therapies.

This month I was thrilled to be asked back to once again photograph the serene Coco Yoga Studio in Nottingham city centre. I photographed the space back in June of last year when it first opened.

Kayleigh Tarrent, a local Nottingham modern calligraphy & lettering artist approached me to photograph her gorgeous new foiled stationery and her workshop set up to get some new photos for her instagram and website.

Portmeirion is a surreal and fascinating place - as soon as you step in you’re transported into a colourful world that looks like you’re anywhere but the UK. With the gorgeous weather on the day we went you’d not be far off thinking we’d been on a trip somewhere exotic from the pictures.

Calke Abbey is really rather special and very different to all of the other National Trust properties, they call it the 'un-stately' home. Instead of restoring Calke to its former glory, the National Trust did the necessary repairs to halt the decay of the house but left its interiors as they found it. 

Anna & Kingman’s wedding has a special place in my heart, it was wonderfully creative and so full of love at the Red Barn in Norfolk which they filled with gorgeous paper cranes and stunning botanicals.

Tatie Lou creates hand crafted textiles home accessories taking inspiration from around the world. Using the ancient Japanese art of Shibori, each item is beautifully unique and original. This gorgeous effect is created using naturally vibrant indigo dye and traditional binding and folding methods.

Coco Studio is a gorgeous yoga haven, nestled above the busy streets of Nottingham. I joined them to capture their studio space and class in full motion.

Nicole makes gorgeous leather bags by hand and wanted her photos to showcase the work & story behind her completed pieces. It’s always great to see the face behind a small business it helps customers feel more connected.

I bought this little gem, the Polaroid Land Camera 1000 from ebay about five years ago, I didn't know or care if it worked, if it was a dud I loved just looking at it.

The olive trees from where Jason proposed featured in their beautiful invites - hand painted by their talented bunch of artist friends. Intricate hoops handmade by the family hung from the converted barn where they sat down to a true Italian feast.

This year I’m going to mix it up a little, keeping it nice and simple with only 3 - somethings that will not only do me a little good but maybe the world a little good too.
